Advance Auto Parts, an automotive aftermarket parts provider and the official auto parts retailer of NASCAR, recently announced the launch of its third-annual Advance My Track Challenge. The program encourages race fans to support their local short track by voting for it to win a grand prize of $50,000. Fans can now visit AdvanceMyTrack.com to cast their votes for one of 25 NASCAR Home Tracks located in the U.S. or Canada.
The first round of voting ends on May 5th and one track per region plus the track with the highest total of votes will move on to the final round of voting on May 9th – 15th. All the five finalist tracks will receive 5,000 dollars and the one with the most votes will take home 50,000 dollars which can be used on track facility upgrades or local community outreach programming.
Advance and its partner Team Penske will be activating their program with branding on Ryan Blaney’s No. 12 Advance Auto Parts Ford for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway on April 16th. Blaney wants to give fans and drivers the opportunity to experience grassroots racing and views this program as a great start.
Advance has triggered similar programs in the past like their “Home Track Highlights” season-long sponsorship of Blaney’s car which rewarded weekly series drivers featured on it with gift cards.
To date, Berlin Raceway (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Jennerstown Speedway (Jennerstown, Pa.) have been the two lucky tracks that have taken home the $50,000 grand prize.
Advance Auto Parts, a major automotive aftermarket parts provider and the official auto parts retailer of NASCAR, launched the Advance My Track Challenge program as a way to generate fan engagement with local racing and provide a platform to advance local grassroots racing. Fans can vote for their local NASCAR-sanctioned short track on AdvanceMyTrack.com, with the track receiving the most votes winning a $50,000 grand prize. Teams at winning tracks can use the prize money for track facility upgrades or to establish programming with schools or nonprofits that benefit their local community.
Ryan Blaney is a third-generation race car driver and 7-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner, who is proud to work with Advance Auto Parts to focus on supporting NASCAR’s Home Tracks and local race fans through this program. He is excited to kick off the program at Martinsville Speedway, one of NASCAR’s most classic race tracks.
This program is a great way to spotlight the importance of local racing and ensure that local venues will continue to provide entertainment for fans and a chance for racers to live out their dreams. It is a truly remarkable way to help celebrate NASCAR’s 75th anniversary season.
