The highly anticipated film ‘Dasara’ from the Telugu Natural Star Nani has been winning audiences’ hearts at the box office and doing well in the USA. Sources suggest that the movie is marching towards minting around USD 2 million in the USA and the film is said to have a decent occupancy with the NRI crowd especially for late-night shows, in a few states of the USA and Canada.
In India, the movie is garnering a fortune at the box office and has reportedly collected over Rs 4.5 Crores through its Telugu version. It has done well in the Tamil and Hindi versions too compared to the Malayalam and Kannada versions. ‘Dasara’ has seen a decent occupancy in cinemas especially in Telugu states and is on its way to crossing Rs 100 crores in India.
If ‘Dasara’ does manage to enter the Rs 100 crore club, it will be the second instalment from Nani to enter this club after the tremendous success of ‘Eega’ which minted over Rs 120 -130 crores from its Pan-India release.
‘Dasara’ is an upcoming Telugu language big budget period action drama that has been written and directed by debutant Srikanth Odela and stars Nani, Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, Shine Tom Chacko, Samuthirakani, Saikumar and Poona. It is set in the backdrop of Singareni Coal Mines near GodavariKhani, Telangana and the film has already released in cinemas across India.
Nani is a well known and established Indian actor especially in Telugu and Tamil industries. He is known for his billion-dollar smile and natural acting capabilities and has delivered numerous box office hits throughout his career.
