Police in Chikkamagaluru have filed an FIR against three Congress workers for allegedly spreading false news on social media targeting BJP national general secretary CT Ravi. HC Kalmurdapp, district president of the BJP in Chikkamagaluru made the accusation against the three working for the Congress’s IT cell who claimed that Ravi insulted a particular community. Ravi, who is also Chikkamagaluru’s MLA, completely denied the claims and has taken offense to the accusation, emphasizing that he never insulted any community and has never been involved in caste politics.
The Congress, ahead of the election, is accused of attempting to spread false news, with the community leaders calling on people to not support Ravi and demanded an apology from him.
