Kannada television is ready to welcome a new daily soap titled ‘Rani’. This show will be broadcasted on a Kannada general entertainment channel, airing popular serials like Manasella Neene, Udho Udho Yellamma Renukadevi, Katheyondu Shuruaagide and Namma Lcchi. Rani stars Praveen Athrav and Chandana M Rao in lead roles and is produced by Banijay Asia and Gagana Enterprises.

The story of Rani revolves around a small village girl who is born and brought up in a village. Due to a heart-breaking tragedy, Rani lost her brother and mother and had to grow up under the care of her father. Despite her tough exterior, Rani is kind-hearted but suffers from hearing impairment as a result of the trauma. Now she is determined to uncover the truth behind their deaths and find the culprits.

On the other hand, Rani falls in love with Arjun, who completed his education abroad. But the twist here is that Arjun’s mother Soudamini doesn’t approve of Rani. To complicate things further Arjun is not aware of Rani’s hearing affliction.

The show will be full of romance and mystery as it follows the trials and tribulations that Arjun and Rani have to go through to be with each other. How will these two make it through such trying times and if they do, will Soudamini be able to come around and accept Rani as her daughter-in-law? That’s something we’ll have to wait and find out when Rani premieres today (April 3rd) at an evening timeslot.
