Matt Fitzpatrick is an English professional golfer who is looking to make a comeback at the Masters tournament after suffering a neck injury at the start of the year. His best finish at Augusta National was a tie for seventh in 2016 and since then he has missed several cuts, leading him to joke that his hopes of doing well at this years Masters are to “make a cut”. Matt admits he has lost a lot of confidence and that he needs to build his golfing abilities back up again, but he is determined to give it his all.
Accompanying him at the tournament are two-time major winner Collin Morikawa and fellow American Will Zalatoris. Despite the difficulties of this season, Matt is still looking forward to the prestigious event and is fully committed to doing his best.
The Masters tournament is broadcast live on the BBC Sport website with live text commentary of all four rounds, as well as live radio commentary on Thursday from 20:00 BST and Friday from 21:00, on Saturday from 21:00, and on Sunday from 20:00. Fans of Matt and of golf in general will be able to catch all the action as the golfers battle it out for glory.
Matt Fitzpatrick is a part of the International Management Group (IMG) and has been since the end of 2013 when the move was made official. IMG is a global leader in talent, sports and event management, and Matt is lucky to have their support as he strives to get his game back on track. Additionally, he was also recently announced to have signed with Cobra Puma Golf, and is committed to using their products as he recovers from injury and makes his way back to the top.
