Cinema buffs have something interesting to look forward to as the new season of the beloved crime drama Byomkesh Bakshi is set to stream on a leading Bengali platform. Starring Anirban Bhattacharya as the Satyanweshi and Bhaswar Chatterjee as his sidekick Ajit Kumar Banerjee, the brand new season titled ‘Pinjrapole’ promises to be an edge of the seats mystery. The adventures of Byomkesh Bakshi will start streaming from 7th April 2021.
Byomkesh Bakshi is based on author Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s Chiriyakhana, a classic detective novel. This season is all set to take viewers on a thrilling ride, especially after the success of Anirban’s ‘Mandar’ and his Bollywood debut. Directed by Sudipto Roy, the crime drama stars Anirban Bhattacharya as detective Bakshi and Bhaswar Chatterjee as his friend, confidante, and constant companion Ajit. Actress Ridhima Ghosh will be seen as Satyabati, while the cast also includes Sampurnaa Mondal, Susovan Guha, Manas Mukherjee, Anushka Chakraborty, Buddhadeb Das among others.
