With the upcoming May 10 Assembly elections in Karnataka, the speculations of actor Kichcha Sudeep entering politics have surfaced yet again. Although there have been no official confirmation by the actor yet, rumors are rife that he may lead the campaign for a national political party to get maximum seats. Sudeep has also been vocal about his support for producer Jack Manju, who is contesting for a constituency in Bengaluru.
In the past few months, Sudeep has had meetings with prominent political figures such as D K Shivakumar and H D Kumaraswamy. He has also been seen on stage with Karnataka Chief Minister Basvaraj Bommai which furthers the possibility of him joining the political field.
Karnataka, in fact, has a strong presence of actors in politics, with Sumalatha Ambareesh as Member of Parliament and B C Patil as a minister currently holding powerful positions in the state politics. Actors like Shruthi, Umashree, Malavika Avinash and Tara also have a stake in politics.
On the career front, Kichcha Sudeep has already finalized three projects and an official announcement is expected soon. Given his widespread fan following and political endorsements, it is safe to assume that Sudeep will most likely enter politics to make a difference in the lives of citizens in Karnataka.
