On the eve of his arraignment in New York, former President Donald Trump made some harsh words for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Taking to social media in a Truth Social post, Trump declared that Bragg should “INDICT HIMSELF”.

The former president had been indicted they very day prior and was due to surrender come April 4th. Trump was angered by the details being reported by the press which he blamed all on Bragg.

“Wow! District Attorney Bragg just illegally LEAKED the various points, and complete information, on the pathetic Indictment against me,” wrote Trump. “I know the reporter and so, unfortunately, does he. This means that he MUST BE IMMEDIATELY INDICTED. Now, if he wants to really clean up his reputation, he will do the honorable thing and, as District Attorney, INDICT HIMSELF.”

Trump was indicted in connection with Bragg’s investigation into a $130,000 election-eve hush-money payment paid by Trump’s fixer and personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, to the adult film actress Stormy Daniels. It is rumored that the former president will face around 30 charges in New York, but his indictment remains sealed.

Furthermore, Trump called Bragg a “SOROS BACKED ANIMAL” and shared an article with a photo of himself holding a baseball bat next to a photo of the DA. The president’s statement is based on the fact that a nonprofit group funded by billionaire George Soros donated to Bragg. However, Soros’ spokesman, Michael Vachon, said that none of the funds given to the nonprofit were specifically earmarked for Bragg, and added that the billionaire and the district attorney have never been in contact.

When the news of Trump’s indictment broke out, the Manhattan district attorney’s office was flooded with calls and emails from angry supporters. As expected, the messages contained threats and racially-charged comments to the prosecutor. In response, Bragg stated that his office will not be “intimidated by attempts to undermine the justice process”. Additionally, he defended his investigation while on MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation”, and said it is “based on the evidence and the law”.

It is highly worthy to note that, Michael Isikoff, Chief Investigative Correspondent at Yahoo News, reported several pieces of information about Trump’s arraignment. It was reported that Trump will be charged with 34 felony counts related to falsifying business records and the former president will be formally arraigned in a courtroom after his surrender.

George Soros is one of the world’s most influential people, a successful philanthropist, a political activist and a major donor to liberal causes. Soros has given out billions of dollars to support causes, organizations and projects he believes about around the world such as helping to build a free society, community development, and health equity.

Alvin Bragg is the current Manhattan District Attorney. Bragg was appointed by Governor Cuomo in March 2020. The district attorney has decades of experience working in the criminal justice system and was described as an advocate for civil rights. As District Attorney, Bragg has promised to make the system fairer; promote transparency and accountability; and work to end mass incarceration in America.
