Founded in January 2023, Zyod is a business-to-business fashion ecommerce marketplace for apparel sourcing and manufacturing. It provides finished products to fast fashion brands within 21 days and offers orders as low as 50 units, enabling brands to launch new styles quickly without worrying about inventory. The company has recently raised $3.5 million in funding, with Lightspeed Venture Partners leading the round and participation from FJ Labs, Panthera Peak Capital, and select angels such as Abhishek Goyal, Abhinav Sinha, Gaurav Hinduja, and Ravi Khandelwal.

The funding will be used to improve technology and hire more personnel, with the goal of increasing their network of MSMEs in the apparel sourcing and manufacturing business. The company is actively hiring across product, tech, marketing and operations, and to date has onboarded 30 suppliers in India and 130 brands across the world.

Abhinav Sinha is the global COO of Oyo and one of the select angels who participated in the company’s funding round. Abhishek Goyal is the founder of Tracxn and Gaurav Hinduja is the COO of Gokaldas Exports. Ravi Khandelwal, founder of Yufta, is another angel investor who has supported the company in its seed round of funding.

The idea of fast fashion pioneered by China’s Shein has quickly gained traction in India, with new startups such as Virgio, launched by former Myntra CEO Amar Nagaram, raising notable investor interest. Virgio recently raised $35 million at a valuation of $160 million, months after starting its operations. With the funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and the subsequent investments, Zyod looks set to shake up the fast fashion segment by providing brands and retailers with a one-stop-shop for design to delivery solutions.
